Let's talk about birth and babies! The monthly birth circle hosted by Cape Fear Area Doulas is a wonderful opportunity to share your birth story/stories in a safe and supportive environment, learn more about birth, or simply listen to others. (Sharing your story is completely optional and not a requirement.) Mothers of all ages, new moms, and moms-to-be are welcome to attend. Come be inspired and strengthened by the women in our community. Questions? Contact CFAD at contact@capefearareadoulas.org.
*CFAD will be participating in this community event. . . . As part of World Breastfeeding Week, join the Port City Breastfeeding Project as they hope to break last year’s record of breastfeeding moms! Learn more about the Global Latch On: http://biglatchon.org. The latch time is 10:30 AM. The Global Big Latch On events take place at registered locations around the world, where women gather together to breastfeed and offer peer support to each other. Their friends, family, and community join this celebration to promote and support breastfeeding. Volunteers from within the community host each location. Hosting a Global Big Latch On event creates a lasting support network for the community. As a worldwide peer support and community development event, it aims to strengthen national and global support for breastfeeding and to improve the health of children and women around the world.
