Bumps & Brews with CFAD
Waterline Brewing Company 721 Surry Street, Wilmington, NC, United StatesJoin Cape Fear Area Doulas for our THIRD ANNUAL Bumps & Brews event to celebrate World Doula Week! This FREE and family-friendly event is happening at Waterline Brewing Company. There will be food, drinks (including nonalcoholic mocktails), a silent auction, activities, $1 beer specials, and a meet & greet with the Cape Fear Area Doulas. All proceeds from this event will go to the Cape Fear Area Doulas Scholarship Fund, which provides doula services free of charge to local low-income families.
CFAD @ The 2019 Walk for Maternal Mental Health
Halyburton Park 4099 South 17th Street, Wilmington, NC, United StatesJoin CFAD at the sixth annual Climb Out of the Darkness, to raise awareness of pregnancy and postpartum mental health disorders and to raise money for Postpartum Support International (PSI), a nonprofit organization and online community of support resources for women around the world. It is free to walk! We will meet at 9 AM at Halyburton Park, Shelter 1. Come out to show support for new and expecting mothers! It often takes a lot of effort to even venture out of front door in those first few weeks and months postpartum, and that's why we have started the Postpartum Play Date. COME AS YOU ARE, and let's simply gather outside (if weather cooperates!) for a little while. Any and all postpartum parents are welcome to join us. We do have a back-up plan in the event of rain. Tell your other postpartum friends, and let's spread the word. We will be holding these at different parks and greenspaces around town, so that you can attend one close to you if distance is a concern. *** Indoor location in event of rain: Pine Valley Library, 3802 South College Road, Wilmington, NC 28412 ***
